PRAYER FOR BOTH PARENTS

This prayer is the prayer of Imam Ali Zainal Abidin (sa), one of the Ahlul Bait of the Prophet who is known as an expert in worship and an expert in prostration. This prayer was always said every time he prayed for his parents. I hope that by practicing this prayer on the words of our children we can flow blessings and coolness into their hearts, so as to radiate peace to our lives in this world and the hereafter. Amin yâ Rabbal 'alamin .

أللَّهُمَّ خَفِّضْ لَهُمَا صَوْتِي، وَأَطِبْ لَهُمَا كَلاَمِي، وَأَلِنْ لَهُمَا عَرِيْكَتِي، وَاعْطِفْ عَلَيْهِمَا قَلْبِي، وَصَيِّرْنِي بِهِمَا رَفِيقاً، وَعَلَيْهِمَا شَفِيقاً
O God, lower before them my voice, make agreeable to them my words, make mild before them my temper, make tender toward them my heart, and turn me into their kind companion, their loving friend!
Ya Allah Indahkan kepada mereka ucapanku Haluskan kepada mereka tabiatku Lembutkan kepada mereka hatiku Jadikan aku orang yang sangat mencintai mereka
أللَّهُمَّ اشْكُرْ لَهُمَا تَرْبِيَتِي، وَأَثِبْهُمَا عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِي، وَاحْفَظْ لَهُمَا مَا حَفِظَاهُ مِنِّي فِي صِغَرِي
O God, thank them for my upbringing, reward them for honouring me, and guard them as they guarded me in my infancy!
Ya Allah Balaslah kebaikan mereka karena telah mendidikku Berikan ganjaran kepada mereka karena telah memuliakanku Jagalah mereka sebagaimana mereka memeliharaku pada masa kecilku
يَا رَبِّ فَهُمَا أَوْجَبُ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ، وَأَقْدَمُ إحْسَانًا إلَيَّ، وَأَعْظَمُ مِنَّةً لَدَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أقَاصَّهُمَا بِعَدْل، أَوْ اُجَازِيَهُمَا عَلَى مِثْل
O God, They have rights against me which are more incumbent, precedence in beneficence toward me that is greater, and kindness toward me that is mightier than that I should settle accounts with justice or repay them with equivalents.
Ya Allah mereka mempunyai hak terlalu besar dari diriku kebaikan yang terlalu utana terhadapku perberian yang terlalu banyak bagiku sehingga aku tidak dapat membalasnya dengan adil atau memberikan kepada imbalan sepadan
أَيْنَ إذاً يَا إلهِيْ طُولُ شُغْلِهِمَا بِتَرْبِيَتِي؟ وَأَيْنَ شِدَّةُ تَعَبِهِمَا فِي حِرَاسَتِيْ؟ وَأَيْنَ إقْتَارُهُمَا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمَا لِلتَّوْسِعَةِ عَلَيَّ؟
Where then, my God, would be their long occupation with bringing me up? Where the hardship of their toil in taking care of me? Where the stinting of themselves to provide me with plenty?
Duhai Tuhanku bagaimana harus kubalas budi mereka lamanya kesibukan mereka untuk mengurusku beratnya kelelahan mereka menjagaku dan penanggungan mereka akan kesempitan untuk memberikan keleluasaan bagiku
أللَّهُمَّ لاَ تُنْسِنِي ذِكْرَهُمَا فِي أَدْبَارِ صَلَوَاتِي، وَفِي أَناً مِنْ آناءِ لَيْلِي، وَفِي كُلِّ سَاعَة مِنْ سَاعَاتِ نَهَارِي
O God, let me not forget to remember them after my ritual prayers, at every time throughout my night, and in each of the hours of my day!
Ya Allah Jangan biarkan aku lupa untuk menyebut mereka sesudah shalatku pada saat-saat malamku, pada saat-saat siangku
Doa utk Ibu dan Bapak
O Allah, forgive my sins and the sins of my parents and have mercy on them as he loved me when I was little. Amen
ya allah ampunilah dosa dosaku dan dosa kedua orang tua ku serta kasihanilah keduanya sebagaimana dia mengasihiku di waktu kecilku amiin.
